The price of eggs has increased by Rs 15 per crate.

Kathmandu. The price of eggs has gone up. The Nepal Layers PoultryFarmers’ Association has announced a new price of eggs and said that theprice of all types of eggs has been increased by Rs 15 per crate.

According to the Association, the price of eggs L’ has now reached Rs 475 per c rate. Earlier, the price of ‘X L’ egg was Rs 460. Similarly, the price of big egg has reached Rs 450 per crate . Earlier, the price of big egg was Rs 435 per crate per crate.

The price of medium egg has also increased to Rs 400 per crate from Rs 385 per crate to Rs 400 per. The increased egg prices will come into effect from April 22 Layers Chicken Association

Similarly,the association has requested farmers and businessmen across the country to sell and distribute at the same price.The notice also states that additional Rs 145 will be charged for transportation of eggs, cartons and crates while transporting eggs from Chitwan to other districts.

The main reason for the increase in the price of eggs is the high cost of transportation and packaging materials, according to the association. However, the price of eggs also tends to increase due to the decrease in production in the summer season. Madan Pokharel, secretary of the association, said that the price adjustment has been done to maintain market stability and protect the cost of production of farmers.
