Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Bhim Bahadur Rawal has suggested the government to bring budget keeping agro production and security on top priority. Taking part in a discussion regarding principle and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for fiscal year 2020/21 in the House of Representatives (HoR) today, leader Rawal said, “Policy and Programme and budget should be brought in order to involve abroad returnees in agriculture as large numbers of people are returning home due to corona.”
He shared,”India has encroached Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani area. Attention of the government was drawn time and again through parliament and parliamentary committees. But meaningful steps have not been taken so far. People cannot remain safe until country is protected.” Saying economic policy principally matching welfare state and social oriented economy should be forwarded, the NCP leader said it was necessary to create environment and mechanism to carry out investigation into graft cases independently. Similarly, Nepali Congress leader and former Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki claimed that the country has achieved economic growth rate of above more than six per cent for three years continuously due to contribution of erstwhile government.
Karki said, “The country will face economic crisis which the country cannot sustain if the country fail to head the economy to right path. Though the people have believed on the slogan ‘Happy Nepali, Prosperous Nepal, it cannot be fulfilled.” Likewise, Rastriya Janata Party leader Anil Kumar Jha, Socialist Party leader Pradeep Yadav, Rastriya Prajatantra Party leader Rajendra Lingden, Surendra Karki from NCP, Chief Whip of Nepali Congress Bal Krishna Khand and Prabhu Sah from NCP also expressed their views.
