A night vision helipad has been built in Libang, the headquarters of Rolpa district, for facilitating in emergency rescue. The Rolpa municipality has constructed the helipad at a location nearly 500 metres from Libang Bazaar. It is located near the Rolpa District Hospital and it is believed that it would be easier in the emergency rescue of serious patients, during disasters and pregnant women.
Mayor Purna KC said the helipad has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1.5 million. The helipad was constructed last year but it was damaged due to erosion. So, this year it has been repaired using concrete and cement. The municipality spent two million rupees this year for upgrading the helipad.
