Gold prices fell on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the year. Hallmark gold, which was trading at Rs 92,800 per ounce on Tuesday, has declined by Rs 700 today and is trading at Rs 92,100 per ounce.

Meanwhile, silver also declined by Rs 5 to Rs 1,250 per ounce. The Federation of Nepali Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs has fixed the price of gold at Rs 78,960 per 10 grams and Rs 1,071.50 per 10 grams of silver today.
