BSP Nepal, a non-government organisation, has provided health supplies to health workers deputed for treatment of COVID-19 infected people at different health institutions and hospitals across the country. The organisation distributed health supplies worth around Rs 19 million including PPEs and face masks at government and private hospitals and different health institutions of 42 local levels including Kailali, Kanchanpur, Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Parsa, Rukum, Arghakhanchi, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts.
BSP Nepal Chair Shekhar Aryal said that the organisation distributed necessary health supplies at health institutions as part of their social responsibility and with an objective of making service of health institutions of rural areas effective. Aryal expressed the belief that the health workers and general people would be directly benefitted from such type of support. Similarly, Executive Director of the organisation, Prakash Lamichhane, said that the organisation with the support of My Climate Foundation, Switzerland distributed 10,000 PPE sets along with surgical masks. Urging the hospitals and health institutions to utilize the received health supplies in an appropriate way, he expressed commitment to provide such support in future.
