Two arrested for ‘ejecting’ question papers before the start of class 12 exams

Kathmandu. Two people have been arrested on the charge of ‘out’ the question paper before the start of the examination. Police have arrested 37-year-old Nirajan Shahi and 30-year-old Prem Kumar Shrestha on charge of making public the question paper and its answers through social media before the commencement of the class 12 examination.

According to the Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau, the arrestees were Shahi, a resident of Birendranagar , Birendranagar, Municipality-8 of Sur khet and currently living in Suvidha Nagar , Kathmandu, and Shrestha, a resident of Nilkantha Municipality-3 of Dhading and currently living in Kapan, according to the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police. 

According to the Bureau, They were arrested on the basis of correspondence from the National Examination Board (NEB).The technical analysis and investigation conducted by the police has confirmed that have been publishing the question paper and its answers through social media. 

The police investigation revealed that they used to create a WhatsApp group called ‘Class 12 Management’ ‘Only’ and ‘out’ the question papers.The Kathmandu District Court has remanded them in custody for four days and further investigation under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063 has been forwarded, police said.
