Kathmandu. IME Life Insurance Company has provided financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs to Fellowship Society Nepal as a part of its corporate social responsibility. The support will provide educational materials such as Braille paper, slate and stylus, computer and screen reader software for visually impaired students in various schools across the country.
With the support of IME Life Insurance, students of three schools in Lolang, Kathmandu, Dang and Surkhet will be benefited. This support of the company is expected to ensure easy access to education to the visually impaired children studying in these schools.
The company believes that inclusive education and equal opportunity are important foundations of social development, and it has prioritized such social programs. It is expected that providing the necessary educational materials to visually impaired students will have a positive impact on their academic achievement and self-confidence.
The Fellowship Society Nepal has been working in the field of education and rights of visually impaired children since 2000. The experience of the organization and IME Life Insurance’s social commitment is believed to contribute significantly in building an inclusive society.
