Kathmandu. Now you can open an account in Global IME Bank from the comfort of your home. Global IME Bank, in collaboration with Nagarik App, has introduced the facility of opening an online bank account from the doorstep of the bank.

With this app, the Nepali citizens can open their personal saving account in a few minutes by scanning the QR code on the bank’s website based on the national identity card.

This service, first of its kind in Nepal, has made account opening process faster, easier and technology friendly, eliminating the hassle of accessing the bank.

This service is available to Nepalese citizens aged 18 years or above who have made a national identity card and joined the Nagarik app. The personal details required for account opening will be securely obtained from the Nagarik app with the customer’s prior consent, eliminating the hassle of filling the same details repeatedly. It is also believed to ensure customer privacy, information security and data security.

To fully operate the account opened through Nagarik App, the customer will have to visit the nearest Global IME Bank branch or verify through Video KYC.

Launched by leveraging the government digital infrastructure, the service will provide a secure, simple and reliable digital banking experience along with collaboration with Nagarik App that makes the account opening process easier, more transparent and modernized.
