Kathmandu. Following the directives of Prime Minister Balendra Shah and the initiative of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Poudel (Ganesh), the domestic airlines companies have agreed to sell tickets at a lower price than the approved fare.

Prime Minister Shah had expressed concern over the increase in air fares after receiving complaints that the airfare was increased in view of the approaching festivals. After this, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) held a discussion with the officials and representatives of the concerned domestic airlines today.

After the discussions, the airline companies agreed to sell or distribute tickets at a lower than the approved fare, according to CAN.

Director General of CAN Mukesh Dangol said that the ticket would be sold at a lower rate than the approved fare rate and the information about the fare would be published on the sales and distribution platforms of the concerned company.
