Kathmandu. The government has appointed Govinda Bahadur Karki as the new chief secretary. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday decided to appoint Karki, secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, to the post of Chief Secretary.
“The Cabinet has appointed Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Govinda Bahadur Karki, to the post of Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal. Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel said.
Likewise, the meeting has appointed Suraj Shakya as the development commissioner of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority.
The meeting also decided to approve the operation of Geta Hospital, Kailali as the teaching hospital of Shahid Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences, approve Foreign Academic Programs (Operation and Regulation) Regulation-2083 and Academic Consultancy, Language Teaching and Preparation Class (Operation and Management) Regulation-2083.
Likewise, the meeting decided to approve the Prison Regulations-2083, the Sixth National Action Plan on Human Rights (2083/084-2087/88) and the second National Strategic Plan against corruption (2082/83-2087/88).
