Kathmandu. The ‘Live Feed’ has been started at Tribhuvan International Airport with the aim of making the baggage management of passengers more transparent and systematic. According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the live feed has been started in the luggage collection area at the passenger arrival lounge.
With this service, passengers coming to Nepal via international flights will be able to get direct information about the process of reaching the baggage belt after unloading their luggage from the plane. It is expected that this will make it easier for the passengers to get information about the condition of the baggage and also help in estimating the time it will take to receive the baggage.
It is believed that the new system will make the waiting time of passengers more convenient and systematic as the activities taking place in the baggage drop area can be seen in the arrival hall.
According to the Ministry, the live feed has been started in an effort to improve the quality of passenger service, transparency in service delivery and develop the airport in line with the international standards through the use of modern technology.
