Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. (NSBL) has signed a MoU with Esewa Ltd. for the operation of Esewa, Esewa Network, Digital Wallet, Merchant Payment, and Money Transfer Service.
This agreement is executed to enable customers to transfer funds to their eSewa wallet via the bank’s channels, including mobile banking, internet banking, and counter deposit. Additionally, it aims to facilitate merchant payments in real-time through the eSewa platform.
The understanding was signed by Mr. Rajesh Kumar Panda, Dy. CEO & Chief Financial Officer, NSBL, and Mr. Jagadish Khadka, Chief Executive Officer, Esewa Ltd., in the presence of Mr. Dipak Kumar De, Managing Director & CEO, NSBL. Mr. Yadvender Kant, Chief Operating Officer, NSBL; Mr. Sunand Malhotra, Chief Technology Officer, NSBL; Mr. Ritesh Aryal, Chief Business Development Officer, NSBL; Mr. Rabi Shakya, Chief Strategy Officer, Esewa Ltd.; and other senior officials of NSBL and Esewa Ltd. were also present during the program.
The bank provides its banking services through its 97 branches, 22 extension counters, 7 province offices, and 1 corporate office, along with 121 ATMs.
