Kathmandu. HomeMinister Gurung, who has been accused of colluding with a controversial person, is preparing to resign from his post. According to sources close to Gurung, he is preparing to resign after moral questions were raised against him.
Gurung was embroiled in a controversy after he was found to have a promoter share in a micro-insurance company owned by Deepak Bhatta’s group.
After questions were raised about being the partner of the controversial person, there was a demand for an impartial investigation against Home Minister Gurung.Top leaders of Nepali Congress, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, CPN-UML and other political parties had demanded investigation against Gurung.
According to sources, Gurung is ready to resign from the post after questions were raised about the moral of .It is said that Gurung’s resignation is currently being discussed with Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) and the Chief Advisor.
‘I am ready to resign once the moral question is raised. “I will resign and pave the way for the investigation,” a source quoted Home Minister Gurung as saying. There should be an impartial investigation. ’
However, Home Minister Gurung has already clarified on this issue through social media (Facebook) on Monday.He admitted that he had invested in the shares and said that the source of the investment was debt.
