Kathmandu. Shankar Group Chairman Shankar Agarwal has been released on the appearance bail. Agrawal, who was arrested in a money laundering case, was released on bail on Sunday.

A senior official of the department confirmed that he was released by the Department of Money Laundering on the condition of appearing as and when required. 

Sulabh Agrawal, son of Shankar Agrawal, who was arrested in the same case, is under the control of the department.He is the director of the Shankar Group. The Kathmandu District Court has remanded him in custody for five days for further investigation, said an official at the department.
