Kathmandu. Police have arrested three persons on the charge of swindling money on the pretext of sending them to different countries for foreign employment. The arrestees have been identified as Sagar Gautam, 37, of Jhapa, Sambhu Gautam, 32, of Dang and Sanam Gurung, 37, of Okhaldhunga.
A police team deputed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested them.
According to the police, Sagar Gautam was sent to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sambhu Gautam was sent to New Zealand with Rs 15.90 lakh and Gurung was sent to Canada. The victim had complained that he was out of contact after collecting money. They were arrested on the basis of the complaint, police said.
The arrestees have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary actions.
