Kathmandu. Police have arrested 4 people on the charge of swindling money in the name of sending them abroad. The arrested have been identified as Sandesh Chaudhary (23), Bhagwat Prasad Tharu (53), Saraswati Barghare (40) and Bikash Dahal (37).

A police team deputed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested them. According to the police, Chaudhary had swindled Rs 5 lakh by promising to send him to Macau and Rs 23 lakh by promising to send him to Poland.

Similarly, Barghare had cheated Rs 16 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Canada while Dahal had also cheated Rs 3.92 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Canada.

They have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action, police said.
