The bank has called the borrowers who were protesting demanding the return of the gold that was said to have been looted from the bank on September 24. Borrowers are waiting for coordination with the bank after the bank called for discussions.

The aggrieved borrowers of the bank have expressed hope that their demands will be fulfilled through the talks. One of the aggrieved borrowers said, “We have asked for gold instead of gold, the bank has called us for discussion, we are ready to meet with the bank. ‘

Similarly, another woman borrower said that if the bank does not meet her demands, she will go on strike again.

Borrowers had picketed the central office of Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) at Ramshah Path on June 22. During this time, there was a scuffle between the police and the agitating borrowers who were deployed at the gate of the bank.

The borrowers had insisted that they should get gold instead of the gold they had pledged in the bank. The borrowers were even more angry when the bank said that they would pay the money according to the date of the robbery (September 24).

However, the borrowers have calmed down after the bank called them for a formal discussion on June 9. Images:
