Kathmandu. Former Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has been arrested. Poudel was arrested by the Department of Money Laundering in Kathmandu for investigation into the share trading and suspicious sources of property.

Police sources confirmed that he was arrested from Surkhet on the charge of money laundering.

According to sources, Poudel had gone to Surkhet to attend a party function. Poudel is being brought to Kathmandu, according to sources.

He is currently kept at the District Police Office, Surkhet. Necessary discussions are underway on which route to bring Kathmandu to Kathmandu either by air or by land. He has been brought to Kathmandu today itself, according to sources.
