Kathmandu. The government is preparing to increase the quota for foreign students to study medical education. Education Secretary Chudamani Poudel informed about this. 

Speaking at a meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the National Assembly on Tuesday, Minister Bhattarai said that the government was preparing to take a policy decision to add quota for foreignstudents who want to come to Nepal for medical studies. 

He also said that talks are being held with the Ministry of Home Affairs to facilitate student visa for students coming to study in Nepal’s universities. 

According to Poudel, about 1,400 students from different countries are studying in universities inNepal.He said that the most attraction among them is in medical education.
