Kathmandu. The meeting of the 101 st House of Representatives of the Kathmandu University (Senate) has formed a recommendation committee for the appointment of a new vice-chancellor.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for Education and Sports and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Sasmit Pokharel, decided to form a three-member recommendation committee to take the process forward for the appointment of vice-chancellor.
The committee formed is coordinated by Pro-Chancellor Minister Pokharel. The members of the committee are , Reshu, Aryal , Dhungana and Prof. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma. Dhung ana is a member of the National Planning Commission (NPC) while Sharma is the chairman of the Kathmandu University Protection Committee and the founding vice-chancellor of the university.
Committee will select and recommend eligible candidates for the post of Vice-Chancellor. With this, the process of electing a new leadership in the university has formally begun.
Kathmandu University has been making significant contributions in the field of educational quality, research and innovation.With the appointment of the new Vice-Chancellor, further expectations have been made regarding the future educational and institutional development direction of the university.
