Kathmandu.The post of chairman of Guthichaur rural municipality has been vacant after the ward chairman left the party and joined another party. The post of chairperson of the rural municipality fell vacant after Dan Bahadur, who was elected from the Nepali Congress, joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party). 

The Election Commission has informed that the post of chairperson of the rural municipality is vacant. 

The notice states that the posts fell vacant as per Clause 32 (1) of the ‘Political Party Act, 2073’ and Rule 22 of the ‘Political Party Regulations 2074’ after leaving the party. 

Bu dha was elected as the chairman of the rural municipality in the local level election of 2079 BS on a Nepali Congress ticket.As per the law, the post will automatically become vacant if the elected people’s representatives have left the party. 

According to the EC, the posts of chairperson of ward no. 3 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta (west) Palhinandanand Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City of Rupan dehi are also vacant. The Commission’s notice is as follows:
