Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has decided to deposit one crore rupees in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to help the flood victims. Giving information about the meeting held at the party’s central office on Sunday, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise said that it has been decided to deposit one crore rupees in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
“The government needs to intensify rescue and relief works, expedite efforts to rescue the people trapped in tunnels,” he said, adding that it should focus on search and rescue results.
Spokesperson Chalise said that attention should be paid to give responsibility to the local level to make the relief to the victims effective and urged the government to provide relief to the victims immediately.
Stating that people of different districts have also been affected by floods when they reached Rasuwa and Nuwakot for tourism and business, he stressed the need of paying attention for their search and security.
