Kathmandu. Rastriya Banijya Bank’s profit has increased. According to the bank’s unaudited financial statements for the fourth quarter of the last FY, the bank’s net profit increased by 60.68 percent. In the review period, the bank earned a net profit of Rs 4.55 billion. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 2.83 billion in the same quarter last year.
During the review period, the bank’s net interest income increased by 17.85 percent. The bank’s net fee and commission income increased by 8.34 percent and total operating income increased by 14.19 percent.
According to the financial report published by the bank, the operating profit of the bank has increased by 64.26 percent. Similarly, the bank’s impairment charge has decreased from Rs 2.23 billion to Rs 84.79 crore. This is the reason why the bank’s profit has increased.
In the review period, the bank’s profit and earnings per share (EPS) also increased. During the period, the EPS of the bank increased by Rs 11 to Rs 29.14. The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 15.63 billion and reserve fund of Rs 40.45 billion.
