अर्थ सरोकार

Kathmandu. China has closed the Tatopani border point, one of the main land routes of Nepal-China trade, for an indefinite period. At a time when preparations are being made to reopen the border after repairing the damaged road in the Kodari area, China has informed that the border will remain closed until further notice.

After the Rasuwagadhi border point was blocked due to the severe flood in the Bhotekoshi River, efforts were being made to divert the goods stuck at Kerung and bring them to Nepal through the Tatopani border point. China has informed about the closure of the border point at a time when traders are taking initiatives to operate the Tatopani border point.

After the Rasuwagadhi border point was blocked due to the devastating floods on September 23 and Tatopani was also closed, the situation has arisen for land trade with China.

China has not set a clear timeline for how long the Tatopani border point will remain closed. The border will remain closed until further notice.
