Kathmandu. Garima Bikas Bank has decided to provide Rs 10.11 million for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the floods.
According to Anil Regmi, deputy chief executive officer of the bank, the bank has provided Rs 1,620,550 as one day’s salary and allowance to the employees of the bank for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people of the affected districts. Similarly, the bank has deposited Rs 34,90,561 in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
Likewise, the bank has pledged to provide additional Rs 5 million for education, health and rehabilitation programmes in the affected areas from the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund in coordination with the local bodies.
The bank has paid tribute to the people who lost their lives in the natural disaster and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members. It also wishes for the speedy recovery and safe rehabilitation of the injured and affected citizens.
