Kathmandu. The owner of the house rented by Chinese smugglers in Budhanilkantha is not in Nepal. The owner of the two-and-a-half-storey house rented by Chinese smugglers is found to be a person living in the United States.

It has also been revealed that the house belongs to a person with the surname Bista. However, the identity of the house owner has not been revealed.

The police investigation has revealed that the house was rented by a Chinese national since July last year. According to police sources, the Chinese national had been paying a monthly rent of Rs 3.30 lakh for the house. However, it has also been revealed that the rent for 4 months has been paid to the landlord in advance.

The police raided the house on Thursday evening based on information that the smuggled gold was being stored.

In the meantime, the police have arrested 3 Chinese nationals.The police have also seized 21 kg of gold, a gold melting and quality testing machine and a machine that gives different shapes to the smelted gold.
