Kathmandu. The Bagmati Sweets Pvt Ltd at Tripureshwor, Kathmandu-11 has been sealed under the direction of Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development and Forest and Environment Geeta Chaudhary.

A joint team from the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control and the District Administration Office, Kathmandu on April 13 found serious deficiencies in its sanitation and quality.

The company has been sealed on the orders of Minister Chaudhary after it refused to stop the production despite warning. The company was found delivering lunch to the government office where the production was stopped. Further investigation into the matter is underway and legal process is underway.

Minister Chaudhary said that the government was serious about the food hygiene of the general public and stern action would be taken if any complaints were received.
