Kathmandu. Chairman of the Ujyalo Nepal Party (UNEPA), Kulman Ghising, has urged the government to roll back the price hike of petroleum products.
Speaking at a press meet organized in Birendranagar of Surkhet on Monday in connection with the Karnali province-level first frontline cadres gathering and organization expansion programme, he said the government should give special concession to the Karnali state in the price hike of petroleum products.
‘Karnali is expensive due to its remote geography. “The price of petroleum products like diesel, petrol and gas should not be increased to facilitate the movement of foreign and domestic tourists here,” he said, adding that the government should reduce the burden of price hike on the citizens and standardize it. ‘
Likewise, Ghising has said that he will help the government with two-thirds majority to create an environment to work.
“Some Rs 35 billion was assured for electrification and transmission line in Karnali Province during my days as the head of the Nepal Electricity Authority and the government,” he claimed.
According to him, the construction of 132 KV transmission line is going up to Jumla.
He said that the party formation in a short span of time did not allow proper management of the party and it had to face defeat as it was compelled to go to the polls.
