Kathmandu. A NADA delegation held a detailed discussion with Director General of the Department of Customs, Shyam Prasad Bhandari, regarding pasting stickers with the maximum price list on automobiles.
During the discussion, NADA representatives said that NADA has been requesting the department for the past to implement the provision brought by the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection. Similarly, he said that the provision of pasting stickers with maximum price list inside the customs yard is not practical in the absence of bonded warehouse in the customs yard.
During the discussion with the NADA delegation, Director General Bhandari said that the Department has been paying attention to ease trade and increase revenue, saying there is a challenge to implement the system of pasting stickers with maximum price list on all types of automobile goods.
During the discussion, NADA General Secretary Milan Babu Malla had recently asked the Birgunj Customs Office to issue a notice to check the vehicles at the customs yard within the stipulated time.
In a press release issued by the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection on 30.12.2082, the discussion focused on the mandatory provision of Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of all goods imported from abroad and the provision of issuing invoice while selling goods. The meeting was attended by Institutional Vice President of NADA Bhadra Bhandari, Vice President Abhik Jyoti, Secretary Meghraj Poudel, Treasurer Pankaj Agrawal and Joint Treasurer Nilmani Pathak.
