Kathmandu. Students below 18 years of age are not allowed to sell hookah and electronic cigarettes (vape) in Tilottama Municipality of Rupande hi.

The municipality has banned the sale, distributionand consumption of hookah and vape to students below 18 years of age in the municipality, citing the negative impact on their health and future. 

Hotels, restaurants, tea shops and caf es in the municipality will no longer be allowed to sell hookah and vape to students and children below 18 years of age.The municipality has warned that action will be taken if anyone is found selling and distributing it despite this. 

According to the municipality, the municipality has taken strict measures tocontrol drug abuse after the students were found consuming such substances in the uniform of educational institutions in the municipality.
