With the latest price hike, the price of commercial cylinder has now reached 3,071.50 Indian rupees. With the increase in gas prices, the price of food items is expected to increase in hotels, restaurants and other businesses.

This is the third time commercial gas prices have increased since tensions began in the Middle East.Earlier, the price of LPG was increased by Rs 144 per cylinder in March and by Rs 200 on April 1.

The Government of India has been claiming that the supply of LPG is easy for both commercial and domestic purposes. However, according to government data, India imports more than 60 percent of its total LP gas demand. India imports gas mainly from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait (. Due to the volatility seen in the international market, the price of gas has to be adjusted time and again.
