Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Ministry of Urban Development has urged the people left out in the process of relocating the settlements at risk along the Bagmati and their tributaries in Kathmandu to come in contact at the earliest.

The Ministry has requested the citizens who are in need of assistance and are currently in confusion on the roads to register themselves at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor, designated as the primary registration centre.

“Arrangements have been made to collect digital data of the genuine landless citizens and manage them systematically through holding centers,” he said. Basic facilities such as shelter, food, health services, children’s education and psychological counseling would be provided to the citizens,” reads a press release issued by the Ministry of Urban Development.

The Ministry has also urged the genuinely landless and economically weaker citizens to be present at the registration centre and utilize the services and facilities provided by the government. “The government is fully committed to the safe, systematic and long-term rehabilitation of the citizens,” the ministry clarified.
