Kathmandu. Baitadi: Baitadi police have arrested a prisoner who escaped from Nakkhu prison in Kathmandu. Police Inspector Baldev Badu, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Baitadi, informed that Narendra Singh Ratoki, 47, of Kafli of Purchandi municipality-7 was arrested on the charge of incarceration.

A police team led by Inspector Indra Raj Bhatta, in-charge of Area Police Office, Patan, arrested him from his home at 2.50 am today.

Ratoki had escaped from Nakkhu Prison during the Genji agitation on September 23 and 24. He was sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison for rape and robbery. Ratoki has been sent to Dadeldhura prison, police said.
