More than Rs 44 lakh revenue collected from traffic action in 1 month

Kathmandu. The District Traffic Office, Kaski has collected Rs 4.4 million 8 thousand 500 from vehicle actions in April last year. Police Inspector Sujit Kumar Devkota said that 5,263 drivers were taken action during the period.

According to him, action will be taken against the drivers of vehicles operating in violation of traffic rules. According to the office, 22 vehicles were involved in accidents in the month of April. Five people were killed and 26 others were injured in the accident.

According to him, 12 accidents were caused by over-speeding. According to the office, five vehicles were driven without driving license and three were driving under the influence of alcohol.

“Traffic checks have been intensified targeting drivers driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and driving at high speed. Police Inspector Devkota said, “The District Police Office and the District Traffic Office have been jointly checking the vehicles. ’

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Kaski District Police Office, Hari Bahadur Basnet, said that a sample checking programme is also being conducted on the behaviour of the police personnel towards the citizens and the safety precautions to be taken by the police during the vehicle inspection.
