Kathmandu. After the ultimatum issued by Pokhara Metropolitan City expired, dozers have been operated on structures built by encroaching on the Firke Khola } rivulets. Issuing a public notice, the metropolis has started a campaign to vacate the from Sunday after the expiry of the 35-day ultimatum.

The KMC has stated that the campaign has been launched with the objective of conserving the river and maintaining the natural flow as the risk of flood and inundation is increasing during the rainy season.Pokhara Metropolis Mayor Dhanraj Acharya is personally monitoring and leading the campaign.
