Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has published a new classification of 38 male and 25 female cricket players for 2026. According to a press release issued by CAN, the players have been categorized into different categories on the basis of their performance and contribution.

Skipper Rohit Kumar Poudel, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane are in the ‘A’ plus category. Sompal Kami, Asif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel and Karan KC have been placed in Grade A.

Likewise, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Aarif Sheikh, Bhim Sarki, Nandan Yadav and Gulshan Jha are in ‘B’ category while Sandip Jora, Arjun Kumal, Kushal Malla, Sher Malla, Ishan Pandey, Bashir Ahmed, Lokesh Bam, Shahab Alam, Hemanta Dhami, Binod Bhandari and Anil Sah are in ‘C’ category.

Trit Raj Das, Rashid Khan, Santosh Yadav, Narayan Joshi, Bipin Khatri, Rijan Dhakal, Yubaraj Khatri, Dev Khanal, Pawan Sarraf, Akash Chand, Deepak Dumre, Arjun Gharti, Arjun Saud, Pratish GC and Sagar Dhakal are in the ‘D’ category.

Likewise, Indu Verma, Pooja Mahato, Rubina Chhetri and Sita Rana Magar are placed in ‘A’ category. Kabita Kunwar, Samjhana Khadka and Manisha Upadhyay are in ‘B’ category. Similarly, Indu Rawal, Kabita Joshi, Ruby Poddar and Riya Sharma are in ‘C’ category while Roma Thapa, Suman Bista, Ishwori Bista, Sonu Pakhrin, Sana Prabin, Sabitri Dhami, Kajal Shrestha, Seema KC, Anu Kadayat, Yashoda Bista, Laxmi Saud, Mamta Chaudhary, Ashmina Karmacharya and Rachana Chaudhary are in ‘D’ category.

CAN has decided to provide Rs 120,000 monthly to the ‘A’ plus category players towards the men’s category. Likewise, players grouped ‘B’ were entitled to a monthly salary of Rs 75,000 while group ‘C’ categorised players were entitled to a monthly salary of Rs 55,000 each.

Similarly, the ‘B’ grade players are paid Rs 40,000 per month, the ‘C’ grade will get Rs 30,000 and the ‘D’ grade will get Rs 25,000 per month.
