2,500 motorists take traffic action in 24 hours, collect Rs 17.24 lakh revenue

Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, 2,550 drivers have been taken action for violating traffic rules. Through this, Rs 17,24,503 revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.

Accordingto the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 102 people were taken for consuming alcohol, 142 for sharing for riding , 140 for violating signal lights and 207 for speeding driving and 207 for speeding. 

Similarly, 56 for flouting lane discipline, 108 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 14 for spewing smoke more than the prescribed and 35 for not checking the condition of the vehicles and 1,746 for not following the traffic rules.
