Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,519 drivers have been taken action for violating traffic rules. This amounts to Rs 1,931,502 in revenue have been deposited in the state exchequer.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, a total of 92 people were taken for drinking, 163 for ride-sharing against the traffic rules, 99 for breaching signal lights and 115 for speeding.

Similarly, 109 people flouting lane discipline, 100 for blowing horn in prohibited zones, three for driving under the influence of drugs and 19 for flouting traffic rules and 1,819 others flouted traffic rules.
