Kathmandu. At a time when preparations are in full swing for the implementation of margin lending service in Nepal’s capital market, a special training programme is to be organized focusing on the related regulatory system, operation process and practical aspects. Nepa Skills Academy Pvt. Ltd., New Baneshwor. Ltd. The training is going to be organized on July 5, 2026 at The Malla Hotel, Thamel in Kathmandu.

The program titled ‘Approval to Execution: Practical Implementation Framework for Margin Lending by Stock Brokers in Nepal’ will be especially useful for the directors, CEOs, employees working in the Operations Department, Risk Management, Compliance and Information Technology Department.

The event is being organized with the objective of providing practical information on the regulatory, technical and operational aspects that broker companies will have to face in course of operating the service following the Margin Trading Facility Directive, 2082 issued by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) and approval from the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

The training will discuss the regulatory framework of margin lending, compliance requirements, risk management system, customer selection and evaluation process, collateral management, monitoring mechanism, reporting and best practices. In addition, experiences will be shared on the challenges that various organizations may face in the implementation of margin lending and possible solutions to them.

The program will be facilitated by Chartered Accountant and former banker CA Ashim Bhatta. He has extensive experience in banking, debt management and financial risk management.

The organizers have urged the representatives of the organizations concerned to participate in the program as it is an important opportunity to gain practical knowledge and experience required for the effective implementation of margin lending service, which is seen as a new opportunity in the capital market of Nepal.
