Kathmandu. The Armed Police Force has confiscated cashew nuts worth lakhs of rupees. Police have confiscated cashew nuts worth Rs 10.80 lakh illegally smuggled into Dhanusha.

Police confiscated 1,080 kg cashew nuts and 420 sacks of sugar from 36 sacks, said Man Bahadur Poudel, chief of Janakpurdham Customs Office.

According to Poudel, the seized cashew nuts are valued at Rs 10.80 lakh. Poudel said further investigation into the seized cashew nuts and sugar was underway.

According to the Customs Office, Janakpurdham, the truck driver has been taken under control and an investigation has been initiated.
