Kathmandu. The government has decided to declare four people killed during demonstrations in Sunsari and Siraha districts as martyrs.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar on Tuesday decided to declare Om Prakash Mehata, Jaya Prakash Mehta and Rabindra Kumar Mehta of Sunsari and Ganesh Kumar Yadav of Siraha as martyrs, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel.
The meeting also decided to appoint Nirmal Kumar Upreti to the post of Executive Director of the Foreign Employment Board. Likewise, the meeting agreed to give consent to the Portugal government to open a consular office in Kathmandu, Pokharel said.
The meeting also decided to make public the report of the study and probe committee related to the sale and purchase of shares, 2080 BS formed under the convenorship of former Auditor General Tanka Mani Sharma Dangal.
Likewise, the government has decided to waive the clean infrastructure investment fee and VAT levied on ambulances and mortuary vehicles imported or produced in Nepal.
