Kathmandu. A man has been arrested on the charge of swindling money by promising to send him to Canada for foreign employment. The arrested are from Modi Rural Municipality Ward No. 05 residents of Suryabinayak Municipality Ward No. 05 of Bhaktapur district. Chudamani Rakhal, 33, of Ward No. 8.

Rakhal had cheated a person of Rs 1.85 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Canada.

The victim had filed a complaint against him for not being sent abroad for a long time on the pretext of sending him to Canada on the pretext of lucrative salary. Based on the complaint, a police team deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested him from Suryabinayak on September 12.

He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action, police said.
