Beetroot being sold at Rs 70 per kg

Kathmandu. The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has fixed the maximum wholesale price of agricultural products for Sunday.

According to the committee, tomato big (Nepali) at Rs 70 per kg, Big Tomato (Indian) at Rs 80 per kg, tomato small (local) at Rs 40 per kg, tomato small (tunnel) at Rs 60 per kg, potato red (lamcho) at Rs 51 per kg, potato red (round) at Rs 53 per kg, potato red (mudhe) at Rs 53 per kg, potato red (Indian) at Rs 40 per kg, potato white (Indian) at Rs 37 per kg and onion dried (Indian) at Rs 62 per kg.

Similarly, carrot (local) has been sold at Rs 120 per kg, carrot (terai at Rs 80 per kg), cabbage (local) at Rs 45 per kg, cauliflower local at Rs 100 per kg, red radish at Rs 30 per kg, white radish at Rs 30 per kg, brinjal lamcho at Rs 40 per kg and brinjal dal at Rs 60 per kg.

According to the committee, beans are sold at Rs 90 per kg, maize beans at Rs 100 per kg, ghee beans (local) at Rs 90 per kg, ghee beans (hybrid) at Rs 80 per kg, tata beans at Rs 80 per kg, soybeans at Rs 120 per kg, bitter gourd at Rs 50 per kg, bottle gourd at Rs 60 per kg, parwar (local) at Rs 60 per kg, parwar (local) at Rs 60 per kg, Chichindo at Rs 30 per kg. The price of cucumber has been increased to Rs 30 per kg, jhiguni at Rs 60 per kg, ripe farsi at Rs 60 per kg, green farsi (dallo) at Rs 60 per kg, okra at Rs 60 per kg, pindalu at Rs 90 per kg and squash at Rs 60 per kg.

Mustard has been fixed at Rs 150 per kg, spinfruit at Rs 250 per kg, mustard greens at Rs 100 per kg, onion (green) at Rs 250 per kg, mushroom (ole) at Rs 280 per kg, mushroom (dalle) at Rs 500 per kg, king mushroom at Rs 330 per kg and Sitake mushroom at Rs 1,000 per kg.

Cucumber is sold at Rs 500 per kg, lemon at Rs 100 per kg, broccoli at Rs 150 per kg, beetroot at Rs 70 per kg, Sajeevan at Rs 300 per kg, red cabbage at Rs 40 per kg, cumin greens at Rs 700 per kg, celery at Rs 250 per kg, parsley at Rs 150 per kg, fennel greens at Rs 150 per kg, mint at Rs 500 per kg, carrots at Rs 150 per kg, tamarind at Rs 180 per kg and copper at Rs 160 per kg. Tofu has been fixed at Rs 160 per kg and gundruk at Rs 350 per kg.

Apple (Fuji) Rs 300 per kg, banana (Nepali) Rs 300, banana (Nepali) Rs 300, banana (Malbhog) Rs 200, lemon Rs 250 per kg, pomegranate Rs 350 per kg, mango (Maldaha) Rs 280 per kg, mango (chosa) Rs 250 per kg, watermelon (green) Rs 60 per kg, junar Rs 300 per kg, pineapple Rs 200 per kg, cucumber (local) Rs 50 per kg, cucumber (local) Rs 50 per kg, cucumber (hybrid) Rs 15 per kg, cucumber (local) Rs 50 per kg. Tree jackfruit has been fixed at Rs 60 per kg, pears (local) at Rs 90 per kg, pear (Chinese) at Rs 200 per kg, papaya (Nepali) at Rs 90 per kg, dry fruits (Indian) at Rs 120 per kg, lapsi at Rs 60 per kg, amla at Rs 200 per kg, avocado at Rs 500 per kg, coconut (raw) at Rs 80 per kg and coconut (green) at Rs 170 per kg.

Dragon fruit (Nepali) Rs 500 per kg, ginger Rs 230 per kg, chilli dried at Rs 550 per kg, chilli green (lamcho) Rs 80 per kg, chilli green (bullet) Rs 80 per kg, chilli green (fish) Rs 60 per kg, chilli green (Akbare) Rs 300 per kg, sheep chilli Rs 50 per kg, garlic green chili Rs 250 per kg, green coriander Rs 400 per kg, garlic dried (Chinese) Rs 240 per kg. Likewise, the price of dried garlic (Nepali) has been fixed at Rs 200 per kg, dried fish at Rs 1,000 per kg, fresh fish (rahu) at Rs 370 per kg, fresh fish at Rs 330 per kg and fresh fish (Chhadi) at Rs 330 per kg.
