Kathmandu. The number of people operating industries and businesses has increased in the market area of Tanahun. A total of 670 new industries have been registered in the district in one year.

According to the Integrated Service Office, 243 industries and 327 commercial firms were registered in the last fiscal year. The registered firms are in the trade, manufacturing and service sectors.

As many as 484 industries and businesses were scrapped in the last fiscal year, Office Chief Ishwari Prasad Regmi said, adding that 94 industries were added in the last fiscal year as compared to the previous fiscal year÷.

A total of 3,477 industries and businesses have been renewed at the office so far.
