Kathmandu. The microfinance borrowers who staged a sit-in outside the NHRC office in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, returned to their homes today after reaching an agreement with the government.

The sit-in program has been called off after the government and the representatives of the creditors reached a 14-point agreement in the talks held on August 22. Following the agreement, the government has sent the buses of Sajha Yatayat to their destination on Sunday morning.

In the presence of officials of various government agencies, 323 borrowers were sent off in 8 buses.

Borrowers from districts like Jhapa, Morang, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Sindhuli, Bara, Parsa and Nawalparasi have been sent to their respective areas.
