Kathmandu. Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has honored Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, Chairman of its Advisory Council, Diamond Jayanti Committee Chairman and former President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha with a letter of appreciation. Shrestha, who is also the honorary consul general of Viet Nam to Nepal, was honoured with the prestigious ‘Outstanding Award’ by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

On the occasion, Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal said that the entire Chamber family is proud of Shrestha’s remarkable achievement. Shrestha has played an important role in strengthening and taking the trade, tourism and cultural relations between Nepal and Vietnam to a new height.

Chairman Agrawal lauded Shrestha’s contribution in enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries as well as providing necessary facilitation to Vietnamese citizens and businesspersons based in Nepal. “His diplomatic skills and activism have made the chamber proud,” he said.

Receiving the award, former President Shrestha expressed happiness that Nepal Chamber of Commerce has honored him for his achievement. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam has bestowed the prestigious award on him in recognition of his contribution to Vietnam’s Foreign Service”, he said.

“The honour bestowed on the Consuls General of Vietnam has further energized us to continue to be active in making Nepal-Viet Nam cooperation more effective, consolidated and result-oriented,” the statement said.

He also stressed that Nepal Chamber of Commerce should pay special attention to expand trade relations and investment opportunities between Nepal and Vietnam.
