Kathmandu. A person has been arrested for not returning the ornaments brought by the floods. Ram Bahadur Tamang, a resident of Banchhe tar, Gajuri Rural Municipality -6, Dhading has been arrested.

According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the ornaments that were swept away by the floods in Bhotekoshi on August 26 were found from the house of Leela Bahadur Bogati of Bi dur Municipality-1 .

The police issued a notice and asked him to return the property that was swept away by the floods, but he kept the jewelry himself. Later, the police raided his house on the basis of information that Tamang had hidden the jewelry .

Police have recovered three pieces of yellow metal earrings, two earrings, two chains, two rings, two rings with red embroidery, two pairs of anklets with the words and and two pairs of silver anklets from Tamang. Police said that Tamang is currently being investigated for theft.
