Kathmandu. Three people have been arrested on the charge of cheating money on the pretext of sending foreign employment to different countries. The arrested have been identified as Nagendra Bhetwal, 35, of Terhathum, Samundra Bahadur Thapa, 44, of Bardiya and Kumar Khatiwada, 44, of Panchthar.
Bhetwal had swindled Rs 10 lakh from one person on the pretext of sending him to Japan, Rs 7 lakh from one person on the pretext of sending him to Cambodia and Khatiwada Rs 100,000 on the pretext of sending him to UAE.
A complaint was lodged that they were sent to their respective countries on the pretext of lucrative salaries and that they were not sent abroad after collecting money from them. Police said that they were arrested on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim.
Currently, all three have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action.
