Kathmandu. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) has completed its first campus placement program. With an aim to help new Chartered Accountant members start their careers, ICAN organized its first campus placement program on March 20, 2026, i. e., March 20, 2082.

ICAN believes that this program will address the growing demand for skilled accountancy manpower in the country.

Mr. Nil Bahadur Saru Magar, President of ICAN, said, “20 companies have participated in the campus placement program, 92 CAs who have passed Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal have participated in it, congratulations to the 20 companies and CAs participating in the program. This program has been launched with the objective of connecting talented Chartered Accountants with suitable opportunities and meeting the growing need for skilled, honest and ethical accountants in Nepal.” ’

Speaking about the program, ICAN Vice President Ananda Raj Sharma Wagle said, “ICAN has organized the first campus placement program for the first time in history, it is also an international practice, campus placement gives students a chance to work in a good company in the beginning, which strengthens their career, also helps CA students to start a faster, better and safe career, campus placement makes the youth self-reliant, confident and capable, who can contribute to the development of the society and the country.” ‘

Established under the Chartered Accountants of Nepal Act, 2053, ICANN is an autonomous body responsible for regulating and promoting the profession of accountancy in Nepal. Through this campus placement program, ICAN aims to connect skilled, honest and professionally competent Chartered Accountants with leading employer organizations.

The event was attended by banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, industry and manufacturing organizations, auditing and consulting firms, development institutions, startups and fintech companies, and other employers. The program is attended by new chartered accountant members of the organization and there is an opportunity to interview and interact with the employer organizations.

This initiative of ICANN is believed to strengthen the career development of Chartered Accountants and help provide quality accounting and financial manpower to the organizations. View highlights of the program:
