Kathmandu. Nepal SBI Merchant Banking has organized a financial literacy and capital market awareness program. On the occasion of World Investment Week 2026, the company successfully conducted the ‘Financial Literacy and Capital Market Awareness Program’ for female adult students studying at Chetna Women’s Secondary School in Gongabu, Kathmandu.
More than fifty students of the school enthusiastically participated in the program organized with the objective of increasing women’s financial empowerment, financial access, and investment knowledge. The program was attended by women of different age groups, providing basic information on savings, personal financial management, long-term investments, Nepal’s capital markets, demat accounts, Mero Shares, and Primary Public Offerings (IPOs).
The event, organized as part of the World Investment Week 2026, is expected to contribute positively to the development of financial knowledge and investment culture among women.
The program was facilitated by Arun Shrestha, Head of Institutional Consulting of Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited. The program was attended by Principal of the school Shanta Pandit, Co-Principal of the school Urmila Pradhan, other representatives of the management and Utsav Tuladhar, Head of Investment of Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited.
Addressing the program, School Principal Shanta Pandit expressed her gratitude to Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited (NSBL) for providing financial education to women from different generations.
Speaking on the occasion, the representatives of Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited said that financial literacy is essential to build financially aware and capable citizens.
